WHAT TO WATCH FOR: High Plains Kansas DirtCar Late Model Series Celebrate Fathers Day Weekend with 6th Annual Dave Garmann Memorial
Dodge City, Kan 6/11/2024 (www.racedcrp.com) - The High Plains Kansas DirtCar Late Model Series presented by Nutrien Ag looks to continue its 2024 season with the 6th Annual Dave Garmann Memorial at Dodge City Raceway Park. The two night event June 14th and 15th will feature the Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods as well as IMCA Stock cars running Friday, and Hobby Stocks Saturday.
The 2-day event will feature a $4,000 to win payout structure. Drivers will have to run Friday nights show in order to make the Saturday night redraw. For the IMCA Modifieds, $2,000 will be up for grabs Saturday night, with the Sport Mod class running down a $1,000 payday.
Drivers will have to acclimate themselves to the Dodge City, KS track's 0.375-mile oval surface over the two days of competition. Tickets can be purchased at the track on the day of the event.

The “Queen of Cowtowns” will play host with the High Plains Kansas DirtCar Late Model Series at Dodge City Raceway Park. Kip Hughes is the most recent winner of the Dave Garmann memorial, winning at Dodge City Raceway Park back on June 17th, 2023. The track record was broken by Dan Smith back on May 11th, 2024. Smith layed down a 15.946 lap time, which was 1.4 seconds quicker than Kip Hughes established record last year.
Dodge City Raceway Park, as part of the “Why NOT Dodge” initiative, is a ⅜ mile dirt oval track located south of Dodge City, Kansas. Opened in 2000, Dodge City Raceway park features a pavement midway with merchandise vendors, concessions, state of the art facilities, as well as a 4000 seating capacity grandstand.

About Dave Garmann…
Dave Garmann of Brighton, Colo., was a two-time Colorado Late Model Association champion, Garmann competed in the Late Model division from 2000-'17 and was a longtime fabricator on the Furniture Row team that carried Martin Truex to the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship. Garmann, who drove the No. 4 Late Model, was a four-time winner on the CLMA tour and captured tour championships in 2004 and '09. His D&G Racing was a fixture among Late Model and modified racers around Denver.
