Jerry Soderberg Race Recap and Results from Dodge City Raceway Park
7/28/2024 Dodge City, Kan (www.racedcrp.com) - It was a picture perfect night at Dodge City Raceway Park for the Annual Jerry Soderberg Memorial, as over 80 race teams and 3,000 spectators filled the iconic dirt track.
With it being fan appreciation night and driver appreciation night, the evenings schedule was action packed not only off the track, but on it as well.
The evening started with the IMCA Stock car 20-Lap feature race. It was the 25x of Troy Burkhart, (Hays, Kan), picking up the win. Burkhart, who started 6th, definitely turned some new attention after prowling his way through the pack.
In the IMCA Northern SportMod feature, Justin Lampe, (Dodge City, Kan), picked up his second career win just after winning last weekend at SaltCity Racing in Hutchinson, Kansas. Although Lampe picked up the win, other drivers made some major ground during the 20-lap feature event. Brianna Muaghlin and Steven Swarthout both gained 7 positions to land them each podium finishes. For Kamren Gruber, who didn’t start his heat race, battled his way from 16th to grab a top five finish as well.
In the Hobby Stock feature, Cody Williams was able to keep his dream season going. Picking up win number 27 this year, Cody Williams and the #77 car have been unstoppable.
In the Sport Compact feature race, Kaishen Brack picked up the win. Meanwhile in the Crazy Cruiser feature, Jacey Archer picked up the win after a backwards (turn right) race.
The IMCA Modified feature seem the Hays, Kansas, native Brett Berry pick up his 6th win at Dodge City Raceway Park this season alone, adding to his 10 total wins overall this year. Berry, who started 7th, definitely has been on a mission this season, especially for the track championship at DCRP.
