Safety
SFI approved full firs suit, gloves, shoes and neck brace are required. Snell rated SA2010, SA2015, or SA2020 racing helmets (NO M rated helmets)
5-point safety belts (3”) mounted to the roll cage with ½” bolts
Aluminum racing seats only, mounted to the roll cage with 3/8” bolts
Fuel cell (22 gallon max) mounted above the trunk floor with (2) 2” x ¼” straps and must have roll over flap; any fuel like running through driver’s compartment must be inside steel conduit
Ribbon or mesh style window nets on both drivers’ doors are required
Body & Frame
108” min. wheelbase, rear wheel drive (NO convertibles)
Stock frame front to rear (NO ALTERING) except 1 upright loop (1¾” max. tubing) between front bumper and radiator, no wider than frame 12” high; may brace it back to frame in front of upper A-arm
The only body that may be removed is all glass, plastic, fiberglass, chrome, front fender wells, heater, air conditioning, dash, carpet, and inner door panel for door bar clearance; NO MIRRORS-NO BALLAST ALLOWED!!
Roll Cage
A full perimeter steel (1½” min., 095 min. tubing) 6-point cage welded to the frame required
Minimum of 3 horizontal bars in each drivers’ door with 4 vertical bars
Must have an “X” in the main loop and 1 cross bar in the top halo
Roll bars around drivers must be padded
Drivers’ heads must not protrude outside cage with helmet on and strapped to seat
Must have min. of 3-3/8” vertical windshield bars in front of each driver
Bumpers
Must remain OEM for that car
NO REINFORCEMENT WHATSOEVER!!
May weld bumpers to frame
Must have bumper ends tied to body with steel plates
Brakes
All components must be steel OEM unaltered
All 4 wheels must have brakes, NO SHUTOFFS
Master cylinder must be in OEM location
Brake pedal must be operated by left side driver only
Suspension
Stock, NO ALTERATIONS, OEM shocks and springs in OEM mounts
NO RACING SHOCKS OR SPRINGS
Steering
Steering column and steering box must remain OEM and in OEM location
May use quick release steering wheel
Steering wheel must be operated by left driver only
Rear Ends
Must remain OEM
May lock by welding or spool
9” Ford with OEM mounts
NO FLOATERS
Transmission
Must remain stock
Standards must have all working gears with stock clutch (11” steel flywheel and pressure plate min.)
Automatics must have all working gears with working torque converter (10 ½” min.)
Drive shaft must be painted white and have a safety loop (2” x ¼” min.) 6” behind front U-joint
Engine
Maximum compression level of 9.0 to 1
Cast iron manifolds (intake and exhaust)
