Brecken Reese, Colby Sokol, and Brice Shaid Headline a Night of NOW600 Action at Dodge City Raceway Park
DODGE CITY, KS – A thrilling night of micro sprint racing took center stage at Dodge City Raceway Park on Friday, April 11, as the NOW600 Series brought the heat across four high-octane divisions. Fans packed the grandstands and were treated to side-by-side action, last-lap passes, and breakout performances from some of the nation’s top up-and-coming racers.
In A-Class Micros, 31 entries battled it out with Brecken Reese putting on a masterclass from the pole position. Reese led all 25 laps to take the win over Ty Fulghum, who held strong in second, and a hard-charging Justis Sokol, who advanced from eighth to finish on the podium.
Colby Sokol showed dominance in the Non-Wing Micros, capturing the A-Main win after starting third. Sokol outdueled A-Class winner Brecken Reese and the always-consistent Bryant Wiedeman. The Sokol family had more reason to celebrate as Justis Sokol added a fourth-place finish, and Cole Esgar rounded out the top five.
In the Restricted Micros, it was Brice Shaid who emerged victorious. After qualifying second and finishing runner-up in his heat, Shaid made the most of his A-Main starting spot and powered to the front. Deekan McRoberts and Tityn Roberts completed the podium.
The youngest competitors in the Junior Sprints put on a clean and exciting 15-lap feature. Kacie Pittman grabbed the A-Main victory after finishing second in the heat race. Axten Larsen came home second, followed by Lane Wanger in third.
More than 75 total entries made for a jam-packed night of racing, with sponsors such as Big R Stores, Milestone Home Service Co., DSR Racing Engines, and Hoss Media supporting the evening’s events.
